Pat Arnao, a New York City-based artist, creates installations and nature-based interventions that explore the passage of time and the liminal spaces we often inhabit. Drawing from Ecofeminist tradition, she examines themes of loss, regeneration, and transformation. In her practice, Arnao reclaims and reuses materials, frequently incorporating them from one project into another, to directly address issues of overconsumption and overproduction artists face.
MANIFEST, a triptych, imagines the desert as a once watery place by creating nautical metaphors amongst the stone.
It was constructed between 2023-2024 in the Joshua Tree National Park in California.
DISPATCH, part or the triptych, is pictured here.
